The robot, developed by a German research company, is small in size and can come in handy in a variety of situations, including easily carrying items.
With the rapid development of science and technology, robot technology is constantly climbing new heights. Nowadays, robotics has penetrated into almost every aspect of human life. From industry to education, newer robotics are making life easier. If someone is worried about losing their job, their concern is legitimate, especially given the precision with which some robots perform their tasks.
Now, a new kind of robot is getting a lot of attention on the Internet, not least because of its size, shape and possible use in place of humans. The EVOBOT, developed by German company Fraunhofer, is being touted as the next generation of transportation, and it's a big deal.
What is evobot?
First, the evobot has two legs, and the bottom is basically a power wheel. It also has inward disc-shaped gripping pads at the ends of its arms. The robot can lean forward and roll at a speed of 10 meters per second.
EVOBOT is a special robot that does not need extra weight to maintain balance. It's small and light. Unlike other robots, EVOBOT can balance at all times, allowing it to move on uneven surfaces, including hills.
With dual optical cameras, Evobot is able to navigate autonomously in a variety of Spaces. It can effortlessly avoid obstacles, climb slopes, small ledges, and cross uneven terrain. The robot can shorten its own length by extending in a horizontal direction, with its wheels in the back and the wheels under the extended arms in the front.
"EVOBOT is characterized by a high degree of agility and flexibility. As a modular system, the application of this collaborative robot extends even beyond traditional logistics to complex urban Spaces."
Currently, machines can only perform basic tasks, such as moving objects. EVOBOT, however, is different. In the future, it will be able to do more things, such as delivering things and turning them around. According to the company, its bio-inspired design makes it very comfortable to use. All these features make it a friendly personal assistant for humans.
