Faced with the particularity of welding scenarios, an ideal USB camera module needs to have multiple characteristics. Firstly, it needs to meet the IP66 protection level to resist spatter of welding sparks and metal dust. The E05-Pro demonstrated by Huayan Robot at the Essen Exhibition adopts such an enhanced design. Secondly, it needs to support high frame rate acquisition of more than 60fps to cooperate with ABB collaborative robot's dynamic collision detection system to achieve an emergency stop response at the 18ms level. In terms of resolution, 4K-level sensors, combined with the intelligent noise reduction algorithm developed by Union Image, can clearly capture the molten pool dynamics during pulse welding, which is the visual basis for the Yuanchuangxing MA1400 system to achieve a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.08mm. In addition, the modular mechanical structure design is also crucial, which needs to be adapted to the hollow flange interfaces at the end of different robots. For example, the welding torch-integrated camera launched by Kaierda innovatively solves the problem of space constraints.
