At CES 2025, Xiaopeng unveiled China's first flying car, a compact utility vehicle featuring an extendable six-wheel design. The front section of the vehicle is equipped with an internal combustion engine dedicated to charging the onboard battery and powering the electric motor. Additionally, the rear drone battery serves dual purposes: it can be charged while also providing storage space. This two-passenger model operates entirely on electricity and can support five to six flights on a full charge. It is capable of traversing rugged terrain on land and possesses the unique ability to transition into flight mode. In the event of traffic congestion, the vehicle can take off at the push of a button, offering both manual and autonomous driving modes. Over 3,000 units have already been pre-ordered, with deliveries scheduled to commence in 2026.
