This 8x Electronic Zoom Vanadium Oxide IR USB2.0 UART Thermal Camera Module is a high-performance uncooled vanadium oxide infrared thermal imaging module with 640×512 resolution, offering both observation and temperature measurement configurations to provide an integrated infrared imaging solution for handheld devices, night vision equipment, industrial temperature measurement and UAV payloads. Built around a vanadium oxide uncooled infrared focal plane detector, it eliminates the need for a cooling mechanism, which significantly reduces the overall volume and power consumption, enabling stable operation at room temperature and simplifying deployment conditions. Its 640×512 resolution paired with a 12μm pixel pitch fully restores infrared details, while the 8x electronic zoom function enhances the ability to capture long-distance or tiny target details, jointly improving observation clarity and temperature measurement accuracy. With a 50Hz frame rate ensuring smooth real-time imaging and an 8~14μm response band enabling reliable detection in various environments, the module achieves high-sensitivity thermal imaging with a NETD of ≤50mK@25℃ (optional ≤25mK), effectively capturing subtle temperature differences. It supports multiple output interfaces—BT.656, MIPI CSI digital output and analog PAL output—providing flexible compatibility with different devices and systems. The temperature measurement configuration covers two ranges (-20℃~150℃ and 100℃~550℃) with an accuracy of ±2℃, fully meeting industrial and security temperature measurement requirements. Boasting an ultra-small 21mm×21mm size and 20g weight, with typical power consumption below 1.1W, it is perfectly adapted to portable and embedded scenarios. Equipped with practical functions including shutterless correction, 8x electronic zoom, pseudo-color, mirroring and digital noise reduction, and featuring USB2.0 and UART interfaces for convenient control and data transmission, the module operates stably in a wide temperature range (-40℃~80℃ for observation type, -20℃~60℃ for temperature measurement type), making it a reliable and versatile infrared imaging solution.
